The International Symposium on Molecular Beams (ISMB) conference, established in 1967, is in its 31st edition with the 2025 iteration being held in St Moritz, Switzerland. This year offered an extensive programme of international speakers, all renowned in their area of research.
During the conference, the organisers regularly honour two people for their substantial and extended contributions to the field. In June 2025, our very own Lead Investigator for the NDMS grant, Prof. Ken McKendrick, received this prestigious award, presenting his lecture on molecular scattering at gas-liquid interfaces.
Ken is in illustrious company with two of the people who previously received this honour also having been awarded a Nobel Prize. The other winner this year was Prof Alec Wodtke, of MPI Göttingen, Germany.
Congratulations to Ken and his team on receiving this significant honour.
